SELF TANNING

SELF TANNING

1. Shower, shave, and exfoliate the night before you want to tan. Doing this too close to tanning can cause your tan to be uneven looking. Shaving too close to tanning can cause the appearance of "blackheads"

2. Apply a bit of oil free lotion to your hands, nails, elbows, knees, and feet to act as a barrier cream

3. Pump tanning mousse onto the mitt (about 2-3 pumps). Use a circular motion to apply the mousse evenly to the skin.  You can use a large powder brush to apply mousse to the face, feet, and hands.

PRO TIPS:

Use a small powder brush, or the thumb of your tanning mitt to apply lines of contour to the following areas:

  • Above and below collarbones

  • Under cheekbones

  • Under jawline (full chin for more coverage)

4. Put on dark, loose fitting clothing and relax! Rinse and take a soap free shower at the desired time. Your full color will develop in 24 hours, just like a spray tan!

Reminder: You should still be using oil free lotions and oil free body washes while you use self tanner. Do not use any Dove products
